Photography - the love.

Hi and welcome to this site. I've fallen in love with photography (please don't tell my wife :-) ) and in particular, with photographing nature. I've always been drawn to nature. It started with playing endlessly outside as a youth, moved to backpacking, rock climbing and mountaineering and in my later years, it has transformed into hiking or just being outdoors with my camera. I like to think that I've moved to a more zen like experience with nature. I'm fortunate to have lived for almost half of my life in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, Colorado, USA. I can't help but revel in nature's beauty when it so abundantly surrounds me. But how do you share this with someone else? How do you do justice with words while explaining a horizon full of magnificent mountains and amazingly detailed clouds on a mid summer afternoon? I could not. But if I take a picture, it becomes much easier. I simply show the picture and provide narrative. It is much easier to let the picture do most of the talking.

Now that I let my pictures do my story telling, the fun is in how to help my pictures communicate best. This is why photography will be a life long quest for me. There is always a better way to look at a scene, to take a picture and to process it to tell the story.

On this site, I hope to share my journey with photography and in learning to tell the story. It honors me greatly as you take time to look at my pictures and hopefully enjoy them. If anything comes to mind, send me comments. I will learn from what you like and most importantly, do not like. Please share it all.
